Adana Orange Blossom Festival
Day 1: Departure from Trabzon – Night Journey
Dear guests, our tour starts at 7:00 p.m. on April 3rd from Trabzon. We begin our journey with the participation of our guests from the designated points. After our guide provides general information about the tour, our enjoyable journey from the Black Sea to Çukurova begins. We continue our night journey with breaks along the route as needed and arrive in Gaziantep in the morning.
Day 2: Gaziantep City Tour – Zeugma Mosaic Museum – Historic Bazaar
After arriving in Gaziantep in the morning, we will have breakfast with our guests who wish to join us. After breakfast, we begin our tour with the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, one of the most important mosaic museums in the world. We tour this museum, which displays unique mosaics excavated from the ancient city of Zeugma and dating back to the Roman period, accompanied by our guide's commentary. Here, we also have the opportunity to see one of the museum's most striking works, the Gypsy Girl Mosaic.
After our museum tour, we will enjoy a panoramic view of Gaziantep Castle, one of the symbols of Gaziantep, and take a short photo break. Then we will start our walk in the historic commercial center of Gaziantep. In this section, we will visit the city's most important historic bazaars, such as the Copper Bazaar, the Almacılar Bazaar, and the Zincirli Bedesten. At the Copper Market, you will have the opportunity to see copper products made by master craftsmen, as well as browse and purchase local products. Here, we take a short break and drink Gaziantep's unique milk-based menengiç coffee. After our tour, we head to Adana. We arrive at our hotel in Adana in the evening and settle into our rooms. You are free to choose where to have dinner around the hotel.
Day 3: Adana – Orange Blossom Carnival – Adana City Tour
After a buffet breakfast at our hotel, we head to the Adana Orange Blossom Carnival, Turkey's first street carnival. Held every year in the spring, this festival transforms the streets of Adana into a colorful spectacle. Concerts, exhibitions, street performances, and various activities organized as part of the carnival await visitors at the festival grounds. We give our guests free time to enjoy this colorful atmosphere. After free time, we begin our city tour of Adana. During our tour, we first pass by the Seyhan Dam Lake, where we can see the impressive view created by the Seyhan River. Then we see Taşköprü, which dates back to the Roman period and has become a symbol of Adana. After that, we visit the Sabancı Central Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Turkey, which attracts attention with its magnificent architecture.
Our city tour will also include Adana's historical structures such as Adana Ulu Mosque, Ramazanoğulları Complex, and the Grand Clock Tower. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Guests who wish to do so can return to the carnival area in the evening to participate in festival activities and concerts. You can enjoy dinner freely in the surrounding area.p>
Day 4: Tarsus Tour – Historical and Natural Sites – Return to Trabzon
After a buffet breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we will depart for Tarsus. Tarsus, with a history dating back to ancient times and having been home to many civilizations, is one of the region's most important cultural centers.
First, we will see and take photos of the panoramic view of the Cleopatra Gate, which dates back to the Roman period and is known as the gate through which Cleopatra entered Tarsus, according to legend. Then, we will visit St. Paul's Well, which is considered the birthplace of St. Paul, an important figure in Christian history. Afterwards, we walk through the historic streets of Tarsus and see the Tarsus Houses, which attract attention with their architecture. During our tour, we also pass through the area where the bathhouse believed to be the setting of the Shahmeran legend is located and see the area believed to be the tomb of the Prophet Daniel.
Continuing our tour, we visit the Nusret Mine Ship, which laid the mines that changed the course of the Battle of Gallipoli. Then we take a short break at the Tarsus Waterfall, known for its natural beauty. The final stop on our program will be the Cave of the Seven Sleepers (Eshab-ı Keyf), mentioned in the Quran and various religious sources. After our tours, we begin our return journey to Trabzon. Following a night-long journey, we arrive in Trabzon in the morning and complete our tour.
