Uzungol Tour
Located at an altitude of 1090 m above sea level, 99 km from Trabzon and only 19 km from Çaykara district, Uzungöl is a paradise that surpasses the beauty of the Alps with its steep slopes and unique forest cover.
This unique lake, which was formed naturally in the middle of the valley when giant rocks falling from the slopes cut the flow of the Haldizen Stream, gave its name to the region: Especially the old wooden houses of the nearby village of "Şerah", built in a unique style, offer a postcard view of this magnificent view of nature.
The mountains around Uzungöl are also remarkable for their rich biodiversity. This untouched geography is home to large mammals such as bears, wolves, wild goats and foxes, as well as various animal species such as the Caucasian Mountain Rooster, one of the rarest species.
10.00: We depart from Trabzon. Along the way we enjoy the beauty of the Black Sea coastline.
Our first stop: Sürmene Knives Sales Store, one of Trabzon's famous handicrafts. These knives, renowned for their sharpness and craftsmanship, are an important part of the cultural heritage of the region. Here, we both learn about the production process and our guests can shop if they wish. You can also find various souvenirs unique to the region.
Then we turn our route towards tea gardens and the tea factory, which is indispensable in the Black Sea region. We visit a tea factory to learn the story of this product that has a great importance in the economy of the region. We listen to the journey of tea leaves from the garden to the cup and have the opportunity to taste different types of tea.
Afterwards, we take a short break and taste local special Turkish delight, chocolate, hazelnut and flavored teas.
We continue our journey to Uzungöl, located at the foot of the Black Sea mountains and famous for its spruce and beech forests. We take a photo break at the Uzungöl Observation Terrace where we can see the view of the lake in the best way.
Arrival to Uzungöl:When we land at the lake, we give our guests free time between 2-3 hours depending on the season and weather conditions. During this time, you can walk around the lake, rent a bicycle, try activities such as ATV or zip-line. If you wish, you can visit Dursun Ali Inan Museum and learn about the history and cultural life of the region.
After free time, we start our journey back to Trabzon. On the return route, we take a short photo break at the Historic Kiremitli Bridge built in 1935.
Between 17.00-18.00 hours, we arrive in Trabzon depending on the weather and traffic conditions.
